ELF Doors

Over a period of 2 months I made little wooden doors, painted and decorated them, hid them around the local town to bring a smile to others who are out on their daily exercise. this was deep into lockdown and schools postponing the return to school. parents by now out their whit’s end, but still holding firm and doing their best.

Children still need to have fun, be entertained. This was a little act of random kindness. It can make all the difference!

We had fun making them, and hiding them in hotspots for walkers and areas of beauty. Very similar to the painting and hiding stones lots of towns have done. it started as i found this one tree that at its base needed a little fairy door. I made 10 different doors and windows and then hid them round a favorite foot path I like to walk.

People of Basingstoke The Elf’s have moved in!!

Their doors are around Basing wood, Eastrop, War memorial, and Lime pits How many can you find on your walk? Please be careful to not wake them!! or move their doors! they don’t know the area well and are here in small numbers to see if you’ve been naughty or nice.

Count them up and post a picture next to one. Tag my page and let me know how many you found.
Why not make some very simple Elf hats or fairy wings  Simply decorate a piece of paper and fix to make a cone, Or a cereal box cut opened shaped and attached with string. It’s so simple and fun!  I have uploaded some examples on another post This is just a bit of magic to spread some smiles for all the helpers and people being patient by sticking to their own bubbles Now the Bubbles Man wants to say a BIG THANK YOU!

My aim is to provide hope for brighter things to come. Let’s make this Christmas extra festive and fun!! Get out the house  take a walk with the family or even just by yourself. Go count how many doors you can find! Give the little ones something positive to talk about when back at school. Live your life to the fullest. it’s about adventure and making memories not endless hours on the sofa in front of mindless rubbish. why not make a picnic or take a hot flask of coco and stretch those legs, you could make this into hours of fun!
Look after each other and do something every day to help another, we are in this together!
Stay safe, Strong, and Smile!
