A good friend of mine Kerry has been running her own party and events business AreYouFeelingCrafty in reading for several years. Everything from balloons and decorations, cakes, food and drink, to anything and everything you could want for any occasion!
The last few years have been tough for all small businesses let alone catering for events. So it was extra nice to be supporting her. Good to see people having fun and catching up too.
Kerry had asked if I could help at one of her events in Shinfield. I got there early to familiarize myself with the layout and check wind directions and get set up. It was great to see her team of people looking after every guest. The garden was filled with a gazebo for the bar and seating area. I didn’t want to squeeze in and take up the last spot of free space where the children were playing so we checked it was ok that I could perform just out the front of the house on a patch of grass. we had a good distance from any road but in future I will ask that an adult stand where the bubbles are blowing to prevent children going too far.
I don’t know about the guests but I had an absolute BLAST!
I love having shows that go well like this, makes me notice the things to improve on, adapt and make better for the next one. Definitely need to upgrade my kit and work on doing bubble magic with my hands more.
